When I was in high school in the 80’s, a kid got removed from school for bringing an axe in to kill people with.
Simpler times.
Meanwhile, in the early '90s, I brought a backpack full of self made blasting caps, det cord, and a detonator to high school and got off with an ISS for a week. Admittedly, it was unintentional, and I wasn’t trying to kill anyone.
One time there were fire crackers on the sidwalk near where me and some other students were smoking and when admin came to break us up they found them and gave us all ISS for 3 days because nobody knew whose they were
My school safety officer accused me of bringing a bomb to school… It was just an empty air tank for my paintball gun.
Congratulations! Now put that shit back on! We are going to war!
I remember graduating school in the 90’s and thinking “Thank God I don’t have to die here.”
I graduated in the '80s. Most of the deaths were due to steering column impalements. Kids mostly drove cars from the '70s and '60s that didn’t have the refinement of the collapsing steering column, and almost nobody wore their seat belts. And drunk driving was still harmless fun.
And here I thought that boss fight where he temporarily lifted up his protection breifly wasnt realistic.
… But really I’d keep the armor. Kent states trying to make a comeback.
… And then after that there’s ICE.
… And then …
There was a shooting at my old high school. My sister was there at the time.
