Bullshit therapist speak, the same they try to pull with alcohol. They’re physical CNS depressants, not emotional depressants. Yes, abusing either and disregarding everything else can certainly make depression worse instead of better, but taking either doesn’t just depress you emotionally.

It made my depression worse. And my back pain, indirectly. 😄 Bloody annoying, eh? It doesn’t work the same for everyone, you gotta be careful.

It’s great when used properly, for certain things. It ain’t no panacea for depression.

Agreed. I’ve never been much of a weed person anyway, I stick to amphetamines, opiates, and disassociatives.

I love being down voted for this. God forbid someone be honest and self-aware. I wonder why most people don’t admit to any sort of illicit substance use.

I’ll second this treatment. This in combination with conventional medication, therapy, and making active choices in my life to improve my minute to minute experience. You know that stuff that mildly annoys you, but doesn’t bother you enough to actually fix? Fix it ASAP, those experiences built up in me like poison, and I don’t think that I’m that different from the average person. Regardless, weed and hiking was definitely the foundation.
