You are telling your computer you want to reboot your computer and then boot into Windows unattended (you can walk away and unless Windows crashes itself, it might be running).
You have to interrupt the boot process to make a selection in grub, the one-liner above makes that one-time selection for you in advance. So you can walk away and get a coffee while your computer does the OS switch.

That’s weird, on my machine it reboots me directly into the BIOS.
Sidenote: if you dualboot, I can’t recommend enough setting up a desktop entry which runs this command:
systemctl reboot --boot-loader-entry=auto-windowsIt’s basically a one-click Windows launcher.
I tried it but nothing happened. Mainly because I wouldn’t let Windows touch bare metal anymore for anything.
And even if I was dead in the ground would I rise again if someone tried to insert Windows into my usb-holes

I mean, unless you’re trying to access it at boot time. I just Ctrl+Alt+Del and hit an F button or look it up.
