My most recent console is a PS2 so I haven’t played a modern Gran Turismo, but the original Gran Turismo is probably what started my love for racing.
Sure the Gran Turismo games might not have realistic physics, but neither did project cars 2 and I had an insane amount of fun with that game.
I started on a Logitech Driving Force GT I bought second hand for $40 that I would clamp to my desk.
Now I’ve got a full rig with a direct drive wheel, load cell pedals, a shifter, a handbrake and a VR Headset. It’s definitely one of the most expensive things I’ve bought myself but totally worth it.
