Animal Farm’s chief critique is that workers are stupid and helpless, and doomed to go along with whatever a leader says. It’s deeply anti-human.

The large star is not a class itself, but the organized workers and peasants.
That’s why effective agitation needs to lead liberals to want to read theory. You don’t open with theory, you open with pointed questions and common observations, things that open people up to socialism. Lenin didn’t yell at people to read Marx, he brought Marx to the people and the Bolsheviks trained people on it as they came.
Depends on your country! As an example org for the US, PSL does great work and has a good Liberation School. For general theory, I have a basic ML study guide you can check out.
Thanks! I really do appreciate it, sentiments like yours mean a lot to me!
That’s sweet of you, thanks!
Fair enough, lol. Been trying to limit my commenting to specific windows of time to limit doomscrolling, works wonders so far!

0·7 days agoWhy would Marxism-Leninism be a psyop to prevent communist revolution when it’s been by far the most successful ideology and methodology for establishing socialism in history?

Eh, I’m not so pessimistic. It looks like Bolivia is headed for socialism, for example.
That’s a huge overstatement, though I appreciate the flattery!
Yes that’s what I first thought too, lol!
Lol, we basically said the same thing but you did so far more succinctly.
Since when was socialism “receiving shares from employers?” Socialism is a mode of production and distribution centering public ownership of the means of production, the dominant aspect of China’s economy is the public sector with a working class state. This is socialism.
As for your word salad, tankie is just a pejorative for socialists that support existing socialist states, “Dengism” isn’t a thing, and all states are “authoritarian,” so the important aspect is which class controls the state, not if the state exists or not.
“True socialism” isn’t a thing, socialism is not a religious vow. It’s a material system where public ownership is the principal aspect and the working classes control the state. Receiving shares from employers is a weird, petty bourgeois notion of socialism utterly disconnected from the scientific socialism of Marx and Engels.

0·7 days agoPTB has a decent and growing foothold in Belgium, which is fantastic, but that’s about as good as it gets in bourgeois democracy, and speaks more to the effectiveness of parties like the PTB than the effectiveness of bourgeois democracy.

All states are authoritarian, so what matters is which class the state served, as all states serve a definite class. China’s ruling class is the proletariat.
