I tried for years man, but there’s so much bad faith, and I’m just one guy who just wants some peace now. I’ve been so fuckin angry my whole life, I just can’t anymore, the futility is draining

Over the years I’ve realized the futility of engaging with idiocy online. It’s either trolls, bots, or morons, and I’m not convinced any interaction is worth it to me, all it does is piss me off, and I’m just enabling their stupid bullshit.

So yeah, there’s a one strike and you’re out policy now. Does that increase my echo chamber, sure, but I’d rather interact with like minded people than piss away my own happiness by feeding bots, idiots, and trolls.

Omg, I’m transferring 3 Tb right now from one external drive to another, and it’s still going after I slept lol. Sucks too cause one of them is a regular sata, but it came in an enclosure that makes the partition exclusive. There’s probably a way to bypass that, but I can be patient, I’ll liberate it once I’m done getting the data off it

Not 8 seasons or whatever, but I’m surprised I never heard of The Strain before this summer, 4 seasons and it has an ending, unlike its contemporaries, definitely recommend

I’m fully aware of the irony of downplaying how complicated emotions can be ITT, but after all my years depressed or whatever mixture of things I am, I think the simpler concepts have done me the most good overall really.

Buuuut this is the kind of thing that survivorship bias was made for. Were things made to last 60 years ago? Not so sure about that, material quality and engineering have come a long way, though so has systematic greed.

For all the stories there are of old appliances weathering the storm of age, you don’t hear about the ones that don’t. Likewise, we now have more styles, makes, and manufacturers, which makes more room for cheap flashy stuff to hear about when it breaks unexpectedly after a couple years.

I’ve had both fridges that lasted 20 years, and ones that lasted 2, sometimes its probably just the luck of who they had running the assembly line that day

Ive been playing fortnite for a while now, the only thing you really buy are all cosmetic, and I see plenty of people using the ftp skins. There’s a shop that refreshes daily for new cosmetics, but it’s universal, not targeted, and if you’re seeing people with stuff in the shop, it’s probably because they just bought it themselves. so unless I’m missing something the fortnite comment isn’t true.

And yes I know, defending epic is not a very popular position lol, there’s definitely enough to criticize already
