patriarchy ultimately benefits men*, but all people can wield it for at least crumbs of power
when you’re a woman who conforms to patriarchal standards, stepping on the women who don’t helps you look better in the eyes of men*, and so it gives you more power relative to the women you stepped on
* i am talking about men as a social class here, not men as individual people. before someone not-all-men’s me.

you’re right, but the solution is not to give everyone the inalienable right to drive, it’s to redesign the city such that people who can’t drive can still live in it fully (i.e. build public transit and walkable/cyclable path of ways)
linux is good but it’s not magic either… it’ll help a 50-55 fps game run at 60 fps, but the game that crawls on windows won’t fare that much better on linux unfortunately
