Expressing my opinions means I’m a troll.

I’ll grant you that the links to content are informative but usually the comments are full of people missing the point, taking your comment out of context, etc. like this person that’s trying to act like I’m racist because I said it’s difficult to find vegan food in Mexico.
I’d say 90% of comments are just a waste of time. I would never come here expecting positive engagement with others.
I really don’t come to social media to change the world or people’s minds. I don’t know where this mentality of “you must change people’s minds” comes from. When was the last time some rando changed yours?
Cabrón directly translates to “ass” or “donkey” but it’s often used like “asshole” or “idiot” either offensively or in a casual/friendly sort of way.
“Horny MILFs in your area would like to gamble with you!”
Is keeping the price of animal abuse products artificially low beneficial to the animals, the climate, or any of us though?
Why would you need to edit? Just save the original image then upload that.
Why is this a screenshot though?

memes@lemmy.world•No, no, NOOoooOOOoo, it's not about the people, it's about the shareholders!
5·1 month agoIt was actually Google’s Gemini that suggested this if I remember correctly.
That’s actually very true. I’m vegan these days and I do appreciate the Impossible Whopper very much.
There’s a restaurant near me that only accepts pickup orders via DoorDash so I order there. Then upon pickup they always roll their eyes and yell at all us delivery drivers to stand “over there” like second class citizens. It always pisses me off since I’m not even a driver, but it also prevents me from returning 95% of the time (their food is top-notch).
Yeah, I guess I was broadly speaking about their actual corporate procedures though. Like at BK you’re supposed to just magically know how much of the ingredients go on each sandwich whereas McDonald’s has the self-measuring salt shaker, ketchup, mustard, etc. dispensers.
Burger King vibes, I worked a lot of fast food places when I was younger but Burger King was the most dreadful, disorganized place. McDonald’s already won the burger wars like 50 years ago and Burger King is in no rush to innovate at all.
For anyone reading in the US just know that a Costco membership does consent this searching before leaving, so don’t be an asshole to the checkers while leaving Costco.
The weird part is Apple’s search (whether Spotlight or within apps) always kicked ass for the longest time, it’s when they started to fuck with it that it got really bad.

memes@lemmy.world•The personalized experience was a little too personal
5·2 months agoAs a web developer that doesn’t do any third-party marketing (nor any kind of data sharing) I always still feel the need to put the annoying cookie pop up explaining that I don’t do this because I assume that without it users think I’m doing it without disclosing it.

memes@lemmy.world•Job's done. I'm sure any children or elderly tenants will be fine.
10·2 months agoWhen I first took down the Venetian blinds the mount at the top wouldn’t come down even after removing the screws. I had forgotten about landlord paint logic and just tore it down and like 16 different layers of paint peeled off.
I prefer just listening to it in Japanese, but even knowing just basic Japanese you start seeing inaccurate translations in the subtitles too (especially with cussing).
