I get it. The launch sequence from Apollo 13 makes me cry every time
Hell I had a tear come to my eye when curiosity landed on mars. That was an awesome moment and it was “just” a rover.
I was glued to the stream for that one too!
And I know it’s been done before, but I absolutely cannot wait until the Artemis moon landing mission. It should be a national holiday so that everyone can watch.
I walked outside last night looking up at the sky and knew for the first time in my life there were people circling the Moon right then. It was a profound feeling.
I had the same experience driving to work yesterday. The moon was visible in the morning and I was very happy thinking about how there were people up there in that moment.
The desire to be far away from earth got to me.
